Seriously creepy
So I wrote about wanting to write a ghost story, right? Then (it being Saturday) I went to take a bath, steaming up the medicine cabinet mirror as usual. My son has a Crayola toothbrush with a suction cup on the bottom that he stuck squarely in the center of the mirror. Little circles indicate places he's stuck it around that area since the last time the mirror was cleaned. When I looked in the steamed up mirror, circles like those appeared where my eyes should have been. I moved - the circles moved with my steamed-over eyes. I checked the mirror closely - there were no toothbrush circles at the height of my eyes. I left the room and came back - still weird white circles around my eyes. I closed the bathroom door to look in the also steamed over full length mirror - no circles. Back to medicine cabinet - circles! Cue creepy music! If I'd had my iPhone on me, I would have tried to snap a picture to see if the circles showed up there. You'll just have to take my word for it instead.
Lighthouse Novel?
I wrote a non-fiction book on Maryland's lighthouses. My dad has suggested I write a ghost story type novel that takes place in a lighthouse. I have enough lighthouse knowledge to probably pull it off. Do I have the time? Creativity? Maybe that's what I'll use this blog for - to try out parts of the story.

Well, hello there!
So let's get the bad stuff out of the way now. I like wine. I drink it often. I'm starting this blog with a glass of wine before dinner. I smoke. I occasionally swear. My kids went to daycare as babies because I work. I think people spend far too much time projecting an image of what they think people expect to see that they don't spend enough time just being themselves.
So here is my little place to be myself. I may vent about impertinent developer emails (or stupid emails in general). I may vent about the gawdawful early middle school start time. But above all, I hope I'm at least interesting and entertaining.
